Session Details and Pricing
Stacie Powers Photography sessions are $225 and include:
- a one hour photo session
- a CD with 15 digital images
Family Portrait Session
The location for your family pictures is up to you. Lincoln has a lot of great parks and gardens that make ideal locations for family pictures. The Haymarket can be very contemporary. We can even shoot in your own home. It just depends on the look that you want for your photos. Studio space is limited to a family of four, so larger families will need to be done out on location.
What to wear? Keep it simple. Layers are great, so is going barefoot. A good rule of thumb when planning your family’s outfits is plan them like it was one outfit. You can wear similar colors, or complementary colors. The more you “match” the more formal the picture will look. Avoid logos and busy patterns.
Children’s Portrait Session
Children need to be fed and well rested. If your child is sick or having a bad day, it’s best to reschedule. Feel free to bring a change of clothes. Bright clothes and layers look great for children portraits. Hats, scarfs, headbands, tutus, and fun jewelry can add fun details. A favorite toy or prop can also be very effective.
Newborn and Baby Sessions
Newborn pictures are best when done within the first 10 days of life. Why? Your babies appearance will change so much during those first few weeks. Those first 10 days are when your baby looks like a fresh newborn and are more easily put to sleep and posed in those “womb” like curled up positions. Around 10 day babies become more alert and lose their newborn look. Also after 10 days baby acne sets in. Your newborn won’t look like a newborn for long, so capture them during this precious stage in photos you will cherish forever. Please wear a long sleeve black shirt to the session.
Babies have the best photo session when they are well rested and fed. Mom and dad know babies schedule best and we will try to be flexible to capture baby at his or her best.
Babies look best in their bare skin or a diaper with cover. Hats, blankets with texture and other accessories are great. Little girls look adorable with flowers and headbands. Most of the hats, blankets and other newborn accessories on my blog are available to use for your newborn session.
